Foxtail Millet Idly
Ingredients
2 cups foxtail millet
1 cup urad daal
To taste Salt
As needed Oil
Preparation
1. Soak foxtail millet for 5 hours. Seperatly soak urad daal.
2. Grind urad daal to a smooth paste. Grind millet coarsely. Add little water while grinding millet to get perfect grinding
3. add salt mix well. Keep batter for fermentation over night. If you are staying in a cooler place warm the tawa and keep batter above it. Or switch on oven for a few seconds switch off and keep batter inside the oven.
4. Put batter in greased idli plates. Steam for 12-15 minutes. Serve hot with chutney and ghee.
