Barnyard Vegetables Millet Upma
Ingredients
1 cup Foxtail millet
1 chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped French beans
1/4 cup green peas
1 chopped tomato
4 Chopped green chillies
As required Finely chopped coriander
1 tsp Oil
1 tsp Cumin seeds
1 tsp Mustard seeds
Few Curry leaves
1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
1 tsp Red chilli powder
1. Soak barnyard millet for 2 hrs.
2. Add oil in kadhai, add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, Curry leaves, Green chillies and stir it. Add all veggies to it and stir for 2 to 3 minutes.
3. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt to it, then add Foxtail millet to it. Stir it for a minute.
4. Add 2.5 cup of water to it and let it cook for 10 minutes. Barnyard Upma is ready to serve. Garnish it with finely chopped coriander.
U can make upma with any Millet.
