Kodo Millets Vegetable Pulav



Ingredients


Kodo Millet 50 gms

Onion sliced 50 gms

Potato boiled 50 gms

Beans boiled 30 gms

Carrot boiled 30 gms

Peanuts 50 gms

Ghee 1 Tea spoon 

Cummin seeds ½ tsp

Jeera ½ tsp

Clove 3

Cardomom 1

Cinnamon ½ inch piece

Bay Leaf 1

Turmeric Powder ½ tsp

Red Chilli powder 1 tsp

Garam Masala 1 tsp

Grated ginger ½ tsp

Chillies finely chopped 1 tsp

Salt to 1 ½ tsp (adjust to taste)

Coriander leaves 1 tbsp


Method


Put millets in a fine strainer and Wash.


Take the washed Millets in a bowl and add 150 ml water.  


Allow the Millets to soak for 6 hours or overnight. 


Strain the soaked Millets and separate  water from Millets.Take this water in a Pan and bring to boil. Add the millets and reduce the heat.  Cover the Pan ¾th with a lid (dont cover fully) and let it cook for 5 to 6 minutes.  In the meanwhile keep some hot water ready.  Check the Millet.  You can add a couple of spoons of hot water if
