*BARN YARD MILLET DOSA*
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup Barnyard millet
1 medium peeled grated potato ( grated raw potato or cooked mashed potato)
Pinch sendha namak ( rock salt)
Oil or ghee to roast dosas.
1 tsp cumin seeds
2 tsp finely chopped green chillies
Some chopped coriander leaves.
METHOD
Soak the Barn yard millet for 3 hours after washing and draining water. Soak in clean water.
After 3 hours of soaking grind to smooth paste along with grated potato in a blender.
Add some water to thin it out like Rava dosa batter or Neer dosa batter, add salt, chopped green chillies, coriander leaves, some cumin seeds
Mix well. Try to rest batter for 15 minutes for better dosas., though not necessary.
Now heat a griddle, grease well, wipe it off.
Stir the thin batter well and drop a small ladle full of batter starting from outer rim of pan and quickly filling the gaps til you make a round shape.
Add drops of oil or ghee around the edges to get a crispy finish.
Serve hot with Coriander chutney.
