Jowar Vegetables Porridge
Powdered jowar -1/2 cup
Salt
Oil – 1 tsp
Chopped mixed vegetables – 1 cup
Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp
Asafoetida (hing)
Tomatoes – 2 tbsp, chopped
Onions – 2 tbsp, chopped
Coriander – 2 tbsp
Combine the salt and powdered jowar with 3 cups of water. Place it inside a pressure cooker and mix well. Cook for 4 minutes.
Let the steam escape and then open the lid.
Heat some oil in a deep dish or pan. Add a dash of asafoetida and the mustard seeds.
When the seeds crackle, put the mixed vegetables (carrots, beans, cauliflower, and green peas) in the pan and sauté for 3-4 minutes on a medium flame.
Now add the jowar mixture, salt, and 1 ½ cups of water. Let it simmer for 6 minutes and mix well.
Top the dish with some onion, tomato, and coriander. Serve when hot
